Microsoft.com brand framework

Originally a skunkworks project designed to simplify and unify all of the various sites under the Microsoft.com umbrella.  The existing state was a chaotic visual collection of sub brands, with no unifying structure, and very little brand cohesion  beyond the Microsoft logo.
 
The goal was to develop a flexible system of components and modules that could be shared across Microsoft, both  reducing development costs, and helping to pull all the various Microsoft sites into one visual family.
